For a few years I studied at one of Connecticut’s premier Martial Arts Training Facilities. I fell in love with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo while I served in the Corps, and become experienced with the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Long story short, once my military career came to an end, I decided to take up martial arts and a new passion was born.
As with anything you’re passionate about, you want to share your love with others. That’s what inspired our 12 oz, white, ceramic mugs. Perfect for tea and honey, or for a hot serving of coffee. Hey, I still have a 9-5pm, so I can use all the help I can get 😉

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport and self defense system that focuses on grappling (like wrestling) and specializes in ground fighting. There are two popular styles of BJJ, sport and combative. Sport can be closely considered as the style for competition matches and point scoring. Combative is a style driven towards self defense and the fighting arts.
Judo (“gentle way”) was created as a physical, mental and moral pedagogy in Japan, in 1882. Generally categorized as a modern martial art which has evolved into a combat and olympic sport. One of the most prominent features of Judo is the objective to throw or take down an opponent to the ground. A judo practitioner is called a judoka.
We’ve sketched and colored a heart on our white, 12oz ceramic mug so that it reads “I (heart) Jiu Jitsu” right on the front of the mug. Pictured above is another sketch that reads “I (heart) Judo” as well. On the other side of the mug we added a silhouette of a person, and put a martial arts belt on them.
